The Ontario Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines (OCHRP) is an activist human rights network of women, workers, church people, students and migrant Filipinos that promotes awareness of human rights issues concerning the Philippines and the situations of overseas workers from the Philippines in Canada.
The goals of OCHRP are to organize, mobilize and educate both Ontarians and overseas Filipinos on human rights issues of migrants and the Filipino people so they can assist in the struggle to defend human rights.
OCHRP was initially established in 2001 as a sister organization to the BC Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines. It was set up in the face of increasing human rights violations in the Philippines.
